Understand where an item stands before you buy, ship, or request redemption.
Awaiting custody
A funded community buy may have tradable shares while ItemBase purchases and ships the item. It is not yet verified in custody. Physical redemption is unavailable in this state.
Ship with your deposit instructions
Create a deposit before shipping your own item. Use the address and routing details displayed for that deposit, include the packing slip, and keep your deposit code private. Use the current instructions in the app rather than an address copied from another page.
Received and verifying
ItemBase matches the package to its deposit and checks the item. Shipping and verification progress appears in the incoming feed; private tracking information and deposit codes do not.
Verified custody
Successful verification records an evidence hash on the asset. Check the asset’s status and public details when making a decision. An item awaiting custody must not be treated as verified.
Taking physical ownership
A holder of all 1,000,000 shares can reunify the asset. A successful shareholder buyout is the other route to whole-item ownership. Physical redemption requires an active, verified asset and the redemption process; owning a fraction does not permit shipping the whole item.
