Two ways to turn a physical item into 1,000,000 onchain shares.
Buy something together
Launch a community buy for an item sold online. Contributions are made in USDG and held in the campaign contract. Review the item, costs, deadline, and contribution terms before backing it.
At goal, shares can trade
Community-buy shares are issued at goal while ItemBase purchases and ships the item. These assets are marked Awaiting custody. Trading availability does not mean the item has been received or verified.
Or tokenize an item you own
Find your item in the catalog and start a deposit. Follow your deposit’s shipping instructions and include its private packing slip. For this path, shares are issued only after physical receipt and successful verification.
Verification makes custody visible
ItemBase checks the item and records verification evidence. A verified asset has an onchain verification hash. Review its custody status and available evidence on the asset page.
Trade a piece. Own the whole.
Every tokenization has exactly 1,000,000 shares. Whole-item ownership can be obtained by collecting all shares and reunifying them, or through a successful shareholder buyout vote. Physical redemption requires verified custody.
