Receipt comes first
A package arriving at ItemBase moves into receiving and verification. Arrival alone is not approval, and an item being listed does not establish authenticity.
Checks fit the item
Verification considers authenticity, condition, description match, photographs, and relevant identifiers. Category-specific checks can include:
- Electronics: model, functionality, condition, accessories, and activation-lock checks.
- Watches: reference, movement, condition, and authentication notes.
- Trading cards: set, grade, grading company, and certification details.
- Sneakers: model, size, colorway, condition, and authenticity.
Evidence without exposing private details
Approved public photos and condition details can be shown with the asset. Full serials, IMEIs, private documents, and internal notes are kept offchain. A verification hash records the integrity of the evidence without publishing those details.
Always check the custody status
Community buys can trade before verification and remain marked Awaiting custody until approved. Ship-to-tokenize items receive their shares after successful verification. Neither a verification record nor a condition grade promises a future resale price.
